Nice hotel, I greatly enjoyed its gorgeous and magnificent location.
My room included air conditioning and television. A bathtub in the private bathroom was a plus. Location: the hotel was just next door to the Douro valley, gardens, unbelievably beautiful location and people and the river, valley and mountains. And there was Eat with short-orders just next door to the venue, super convenient.

The breakfast and the view were nice. the breakfast had fresh fruit and good coffee. the view was cool as well. the location was good for our romantic escape. There were several sights nearby that we could drive to. the staff were friendly and accommodating.
The room was not very nice and the bathroom was outdated. We did not have very high expectations, but the room was still disappointing.

Staying at this hidden gem was truly amazing, with breathtaking views over a river surrounded by mountains. the place is exquisitely designed, offering many different areas to relax and enjoy the view, like the terrace and the inner courtyard. the rooms are spacious with great decor, comfortable beds, and fabulous views of the valley. the morning breakfasts were also superb, with freshly baked bread, fruits and eggs cooked to perfection!
The only disappointing aspect was the lack of central heating which was not working during early November. other heating options were available, including gas and a cozy wood-burning stove.
